 For those not familiar with Geocaching, it is basically a GPS treasure hunting game played by thousands of people all over the world. All you need is a GPS receiver and a means to travel to the hidden cache locations, which are published at www.geocaching.com where you must have a user account to see the coordinates. What attracted me most to Geocaching is that the whole family can partake and that it takes you to the most interesting places which you often did not know existed, sometimes close to home or locations you thought you are familiar with. It also gives you something exciting to do over weekends, while on holiday or travelling along a route. As you can see from the caches I placed and found, apart from discovering amazing and unexpected places, I also enjoy locations with interesting histories or stories associated with them or to learn factoids about such locations.Below are pictures and links to the caches we placed and found. |
